Community updates!!
October 24, 2023 (Tuesday) - The quarterly Board of Directors meeting in the meeting hall - 205 SW 131st Street at 4:00 p.m.
New laws regarding golf carts:
To all homeowners with children using golf carts in the Town of Tioga please make sure you make yourself aware of the new laws regarding golf cart usage:
Operation of a Golf Cart: Authorizing a water control district to designate certain roads for use by golf carts; requiring county approval before making such a designation; prohibiting a person under 18 years of age from operating a golf cart on certain roadways unless he or she possesses a valid learner's driver license or valid driver license; prohibiting a person 18 years of age or older from operating a golf cart on certain roadways unless he or she possesses a valid form of government-issued photographic identification; providing a penalty, etc.
Effective Date: October 1, 2023

For enforcement please refer to the Alachua County Sheriff's office at 352-955-1818 (non-emergency) as these are county roadways.

Reminder to lock vehicles:
As a general reminder lock your vehicles and do not leave valuables or keys in your vehicles. (And in sight) Also general reminder please report suspicious activity and follow the proper channels.

Please if you see something say something......report activity. In the Town of Tioga over the last several months we have had an influx of juvenile activity. Parents, please know where your juveniles are, and where they spend time. They should not be destroying personal property or in HOA common areas.
Trash/Yard Waste :
Residential curbside collection service for trash, please reference the Alachua County site for helpful information regarding pickups and holidays. https://alachuacounty.us/depts/solidwaste/residential/curbside/pages/curbsidepickup.aspx
Only six holidays affect collection service:
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas
• New Year's Day
• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday (observed)
• Memorial Day
• Fourth of July
Waste will not be collected on these holidays, and all scheduled pickups will be delayed by one (business) day. The collection will return to normal the following week.
Please remember if you live with an alley behind you regular trash and yard waste is picked up from the alley. Storm debris after large storms can be picked up curbside (Only after storms). And any special/large or extra pickups can be called at 352-338-3233. Please keep this number if you have any questions.
Sidewalk Trip Hazards:
We currently have several work orders with the county for sidewalk repairs. I am currently working on an additional list if you would like to submit any that are of concern, I can cross reference to make sure I get as many in when the county comes out. Please submit to tcmmail@townoftioga.com please give the address/lot numbers/streets or pictures that will be helpful in identifying.

Kids Yoga:
Kids of all ages are welcome for a FREE KIDS YOGA CLASS in the Tioga Meeting Hall. This is open to Town of Tioga residents ONLY. Taking place on Friday, Oct 6th starting promptly at 9:15 am, Katie Brandes will be instructing this 20-30 minute class. (Length depends on class size). To help gauge how many children will be attending, please sign up in advance on the link below. List your child’s name under the comments option:

Walk-ins welcome. Doors will open at 9 a.m. Please allow time to sign a short waiver for your child(ren)’s participation.

Please drop them off to Debbie in the office or you can message Katie Furst on Next Door to drop them off at her home

Alex Fulda from Alex Fulda Photography will be taking FREE family and individual photos of your little ones in costume! Alex is volunteering her services for the second year in a row. She is amazing and we are very excited to have her back! She will be available from 10:30-11:30 am.
