Please continue to monitor the approaching storm, Idalia. For updates regarding the storm from Alachua County text ALACHUA to 888-777. Alachua County Offices will be closed beginning Tuesday at 1 p.m. and Wednesday. The decision to reopen will be based on the storm's impact.
Trash delays to your regularly scheduled pickup day could be by 1 day. The 311 Emergency Information line is now activated. Call for the latest information and rumor control. To report storm damage to Alachua County:https://alachuacountyready.com/incidents/idaliaPlease remember Storm debris- Limbs must be less than 5 feet in length and smaller than 6 inches in diameter and placed curbside. Piles of limbs MUST BE less than 40 lbs.
*Please also remember that any wood/tree/yard debris be placed between the sidewalk and curb but NOT on street level to decrease any chances of clogs or backflow of water into the streets and please be diligent about removing any items that could potentially become flying debris.
