"We had no intention of moving from our last home," said Beckey. "I was just driving in the area and decided to turn in. When I saw the beautiful homes and the friendly neighborhood, I was hooked." Soon after, the Cicales bought one of last years spring parade homes and have never looked back. From the soundproof insulation and the maple floors to the kid-friendly alleyways and Sunday pot luck dinners, Town of Tioga has made this family feel at home. Mike, a physician at Shands and Beckey, a nurse practitioner, have lived in Gainesville for more than 10 years. She works in the kidney transplant unit at Shands and Mike is the director of Shands Executives Health Program.
The Grubbs are moving to Tioga after living in Ocala their
whole lives. Upon retiring from Allstate Insurance this spring, they will be moving to The Grubbs knew they wanted to move to Gainesville, but hadnt decided where to live until they saw Town of Tioga. "We fell in love, and within an hour we made a decision," said Roddy. "We loved Deborah. We liked the community concept and I grew up in a two-story house similar to the one we are building here." The house is a Charleston style, with porches in front and back. They picked a house with a large open design because they enjoy entertaining. "We are counting the days till we will be in our house in April," said Roddy.
"We knew we wanted to live in Tioga when we first saw it, two years ago," said Tammy. We just love the overall ambiance of the neighborhood and the quaint streets. You feel very safe here." The Turners were concerned about building their own home for the first time. "We heard it could be a stressful experience, but we were able to have full control to do whatever we wanted," said Tammy. Jeff visited the construction site every day and found the builder easy to work with and all the subcontractors very friendly. They found the interior designer suggested by Dibros Builders to be very helpful. "She helped us pick the right colors and materials to match what we were envisioning," said Tammy. "We just love our home. We love the space we have now. It is a dream come true for us." Tammy works for A-Turner Moving and Storage and Jeff is a paramedic with Levy County. |
